Preparing for your Retreat

Thank you for staying with Summers Mill for your upcoming retreat. We’ve prepared this page to answer some of the most commonly asked questions. We’re excited to see you at Summers Mill!

In-room amenities

  • All coffee and accessories are provided. Suites have in-room coffee makers, and our other rooms have coffee makers in common spaces.

  • Every bathroom has a hair dryer

  • Every building has an iron and ironing board

  • Soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are provided

  • Linens, towels, and washcloths are provided

  • All guests have access to refrigerators and microwaves. Some are in-room, and others are in common areas.

What should I bring?

The atmosphere at Summers Mill is informal and relaxed. Bring comfortable, season-appropriate clothing. If you plan on enjoying the walking trails, plan on bringing sturdy closed-toed shoes, and if you plan on taking a dip in the creek, bring swimwear and a beach towel. If you have room in the truck, feel free to bring your bike… there are lots of places to be explored here.


Cell Phones

Most cell phone providers have coverage at Summers Mill, but it is generally only one to two bars. Many of our common areas have complimentary phones for your convenience.

Nearest Airport

The nearest commercial airport is Killeen-Fort Hood Regional Airport (GRK), approximately 40 minutes away. The Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) is about an hour drive.


WiFi

We provide complimentary WiFi in all of our guest rooms and public areas.

Emergency Contact

If you need to reach one of our guests in an emergency, please contact our main number, (254) 939-6194, and we will promptly relay the message.


Trash Service

We ask that you keep all of your trash in provided trash bags. If your bin is full, please place the trash bag in one of our outdoor trash cans. Our staff check these bins multiple times a day.

Special Needs

We have ADA rooms available, and our catering partner is able to accommodate special dietary requirements. Please ask your retreat organizer for information.


Pets and Tobacco

Although we welcome registered service animals if they are needed to assist you during your stay, please leave your pets at home. If you smoke, we ask that you refrain from doing so in rooms or on room porches and balconies.

Quiet Hours

Please be respectful of other groups at Summers Mill at all times. After 10 pm, we ask that you keep all noises to a minimum as other guests will be asleep.
