Things to Do

  • Enjoy billiards, foosball, and ping pong in our Coca Cola room centrally located behind the Texas Suites. Your room key should give you access.

  • Work out in the Roadrunner Fitness Room centrally located in the same building next door to the Coca Cola room behind the Texas Suites. Use your room key to access.

  • Located just across the pasture in front of the Holland House, access our pickeball/tennis courts. We have equipment in the office.

  • Head out on one of our 3 marked trails that all begin at the recreation field next to the Yellow Rose Event Center. The green trail = 1 mile. The blue trail = 1.5 miles. The red trail = 2 miles. (Click here for a map.)

  • Enjoy a visit to our animals located down the hill. Take a left at the bicycles on the fence and drive/walk past donkeys, goats, and elk. Drive/walk down toward the pecan bottom to see cattle and fallow deer.

  • Play a game of basketball, kickball, soccer, volleyball, or baseball. There are giant checkers located underneath the porch on the back of Big Bird Lodge. Check out balls and other sporting equipment from the office.

  • Enjoy our 6 hole disc golf course. Check out disc golf sets in the office or bring your own.

  • You are welcome to visit the Chapel in the Woods for some quiet reflection if it is not being used by one of our groups. It is centrally located next to the Coca Cola and Roadrunner Fitness Rooms.

  • Have a picnic at the pecan bottom near the creek, or anywhere on property! There are so many beautiful spots!

  • For an extra $125, your group can ride the tram down to the pecan bottom for a campfire by the creekside. (Please check burn ban status in Bell County before requesting.)

Holland/Rogers:

  • Check out the Coffee Trough and the Healthy Hornet in Holland for some awesome liquid refreshments. Grab a donut at Big Krumnow’s Donuts.

  • Visit the Slice of Heaven Educational Farm just down the road on FM 1123 toward Holland.

  • Take a trip to Walker Honey Farm located on Highway 190 between Rogers and Temple. The store is packed with honey, snacks, and other yummy and fun items.

  • Meander through tons of beautiful home decor, furniture, jewelry and many other pretties at Veranda Bloom and the Cottage located on the main street that runs through Rogers.

  • After you visit Veranda Bloom, pop over to Vis-À-Vis Galleria just up the street in Rogers and check out some cute clothes. There are also some opportunities to peruse and shop some antiques.
