Enjoy billiards, foosball, and ping pong in our Coca Cola room centrally located behind the Texas Suites. Your room key should give you access.

Work out in the Roadrunner Fitness Room centrally located in the same building next door to the Coca Cola room behind the Texas Suites. Use your room key to access.

Located just across the pasture in front of the Holland House, access our pickeball/tennis courts. We have equipment in the office.

Head out on one of our 3 marked trails that all begin at the recreation field next to the Yellow Rose Event Center. The green trail = 1 mile. The blue trail = 1.5 miles. The red trail = 2 miles. (Click here for a map.)

Enjoy a visit to our animals located down the hill. Take a left at the bicycles on the fence and drive/walk past donkeys, goats, and elk. Drive/walk down toward the pecan bottom to see cattle and fallow deer.

Play a game of basketball, kickball, soccer, volleyball, or baseball. There are giant checkers located underneath the porch on the back of Big Bird Lodge. Check out balls and other sporting equipment from the office.

Enjoy our 6 hole disc golf course. Check out disc golf sets in the office or bring your own.

You are welcome to visit the Chapel in the Woods for some quiet reflection if it is not being used by one of our groups. It is centrally located next to the Coca Cola and Roadrunner Fitness Rooms.

Have a picnic at the pecan bottom near the creek, or anywhere on property! There are so many beautiful spots!
Places to Visit off Property:
In Salado:
Get your shopping on when you visit the many interesting and unique retail shops in Salado.
Check out the glass blowing artists at Salado Glassworks.
Attend a theatrical or educational event at the Tablerock Amphitheater.
Visit the mermaid sculpture and wade/swim in the Salado creek.
Meander through the Salado Sculpture Garden.
Stop by Robertson’s Hams & The Choppin’ Block and pick up some beef jerky or some pecan brittle. You will not be disappointed.
Interested in history? Visit the Salado Museum and College Park which promotes the pioneer history of Salado.
In Belton:
Check out the Bell County Museum which exists to engage and educate the community by collecting, preserving, and interpreting the prehistoric and historic heritage of Bell County.
Drive through the beautiful University of Mary Hardin Baylor campus.
Visit Belton Lake - picnic or swim in one of the many parks. Drive across the dam and stop at the lookout point.
Visit Stillhouse Hollow Lake - swim, fish, picnic, hike
Visit Summer Fun Water Park only 15 minutes away.
Check the Cadence Bank Center calendar for fun and interesting events.
Step back in time and view a classic movie at the Beltonian Theater, or catch a new movie at Grand Avenue Theater.
Visit That Art Place and get those creative juices flowing.
Holland/Rogers:
Check out the Coffee Trough and the Healthy Hornet in Holland for some awesome liquid refreshments. Grab a donut at Big Krumnow’s Donuts.
Visit the Slice of Heaven Educational Farm just down the road on FM 1123 toward Holland.
Take a trip to Walker Honey Farm located on Highway 190 between Rogers and Temple. The store is packed with honey, snacks, and other yummy and fun items.
Meander through tons of beautiful home decor, furniture, jewelry and many other pretties at Veranda Bloom and the Cottage located on the main street that runs through Rogers.
After you visit Veranda Bloom, pop over to Vis-À-Vis Galleria just up the street in Rogers and check out some cute clothes. There are also some opportunities to peruse and shop some antiques.
Temple:
Visit the Temple Railroad Museum, the Czech Heritage Museum, or the Temple Children’s museum for some hands on experiences.
Check out The Hub, a unique shopping experience in downtown Temple. Temple is making an effort to revitalize the downtown area with shops, restaurants and even a comedy club.
Check out a movie at the fairly new Cinemark located just off I35.
Spend the day at Spare Time Texas enjoying bowling, games, and laser tag.
Plan a fun-filled night out of the ordinary. Sip. Socialize. Create at Painting with a Twist.
Head on over to WHEELS Family Skating Center, Temple’s original roller skating rink.
